Welcome to La Petite Maison at Chateau Sonoma, a refined farm stay set on one of the most historic properties in Sonoma, sharing grounds with one of the town’s five oldest homes. Tucked into the prestigious East Side, this romantic retreat blends old-world European character with quiet luxury. The two-bedroom residence features king-size beds dressed in exceptionally luxurious linens, and interiors filled with authentic French antiques personally collected by owner Sarah Anderson over more than a decade. Thoughtful details, layered textures, and a sense of timelessness make the space feel both curated and deeply comfortable. Guests also enjoy access to a private sauna and steam room—an indulgent way to unwind after a day of tasting and exploring. Outside, La Petite Maison at Chateau Sonoma is very much alive. This is a working farm with vineyards producing a beautiful rosé, seasonal harvests throughout summer and fall, and friendly resident animals including goats, chickens, and a beloved pony named Party Girl. Despite the pastoral setting, you’re just a five-minute drive to the Sonoma Plaza and a short drive to renowned wineries, restaurants, tasting rooms, and boutique shopping—offering the rare combination of rural charm and central convenience. Please note: The apartment occupies the entire upper level of Sarah’s four-car garage and is accessed by a wide wooden staircase. The restroom is located in a separate building approximately 10 feet away and requires going down one flight of stairs to access. This unique layout is part of the historic nature of the property and contributes to its authentic farm-stay experience.

Refundable Bookings

Cancellation deadlines:

  • For stays under 15 nights, you may cancel or reschedule up to 14 days before check-in for a full refund. For stays 15 nights or longer, the cancellation window is 60 days.
  • For some homes, a 30-day deadline applies — this will be clearly shown before you book.
  • Cancellations must be submitted before 4 PM EST on the deadline day to qualify.

Fair-Refund Policy

If you cancel after the deadline:

  • Inspired In Sonoma will relist your dates and automatically refund you for any nights that rebook.
  • The refund per night will be the lower of the original price or the rebooking rate. Nights that do not rebook are non-refundable.

Half-Now, Half-Later Bookings

  • The first half of your payment is non-refundable.
  • The second half may be refunded according to the standard cancellation policy above.

Non-Refundable Bookings

If you selected a Non-Refundable rate at checkout, the booking cannot be changed or canceled, and no refund will be issued.

Date Changes & Rebooking

Once a stay is canceled, you can't rebook the same dates yourself. If you need help choosing new dates, our Concierge team is happy to assist.

Transfers to Another Guest

You may transfer your booking to someone else at no charge. Just contact the Concierge with the new guest's name and email. The new guest must accept the transfer for it to take effect.

Policy Match Guarantee

If a better price is available for the same property on Airbnb or the owner's site, contact the Concierge — Inspired In Sonoma will match it.
